The Painter
A gas-masked man, spray cans, jar lids, torn magazine pages. The process: unconventional. The finished paintings, inspirational. View his works and learn something about it... |

The Art
Spray Paint Art, which is not to be confused with Graffiti, had its genesis in the mid 1980's, and originated in the streets of Mexico. A rare art, it is practiced by a handful few. Using cans of spray paint, scraps of cardboard, lids, spatula and newspaper, artists create fantastic interplanetary scenes that are undeniably breathtaking. |
Observing a work of art in process is quite an experience. The gas-masked artist quickly sprays his canvas, in a trance-like state, as colorful planets, pyramids, mountains scapes and nebulas evolve under his breath... An entire universe, in less than 10 minutes.

Although Ive taken the greatest care in photographing all the paintings featured, these digital reproductions are nowhere near as sharp, colorful, vibrant and 3-dimensional as the originals in person. Much of the fine detail is lost since I have not only cropped the images but reduced them as well to fit the confines of this page. I would say if youve never seen a real spray painting up close, you arent experiencing the full spectrum of the piece. Some of my works are currently for sale. Email me for inquires.
